Yinka Orisan’s fine jewelry collection consists of options in solid 14K/18K Yellow, Rose, or White Gold and even platinum.

Between professional servicing, most gold and platinum jewelry can be maintained with a non-abrasive cleaner. Examine your jewelry regularly to make sure settings are snug and clasps and joinings are secure.

Avoid exposing gold jewelry to household bleach, which will quickly cause gold to discolor and possibly disintegrate.

Jewelry storage is important as well. At the time of purchase, all Yinka Orisan jewelry is wrapped in a protective box, case or tarnish-resistant pouch. Between wearings, we recommend that you place it back in its original case or another suitably lined box or pouch.

Sterling silver tarnishes, especially when exposed to salt air and products containing sulfur, such as rubber bands and some papers. However, silver that is regularly used typically needs less care, so we strongly encourage you to use or wear your silver every day.

Use our provided polishing cloth or another quality brand. Some "dip" polishes contain harsh chemicals and should be avoided. Electrolytic cleaning (aluminum foil, salt and baking soda in a water base) is not recommended.

Begin by using a soft cloth or sponge to apply the polish. Rub each piece gently but firmly lengthwise, using straight, even strokes. You may use a small brush (like a toothbrush with natural bristles) for decorative trim or borders. Wash in sudsy water, being sure to remove all the polish. Rinse well in warm water, dry thoroughly and buff gently with a soft cloth.

Yinka Orisan’s fashion jewelry collection is a base of brass plated in either 14K/18K Yellow Gold or 14K/18K Rose Gold. All fashion jewelry ordered comes with a care card, which informs you of how to maintain your piece. Yinka Orisan is not liable for any damage to the finish of a piece if care instructions are not followed.

On a case-by-case basis, Yinka Orisan will polish (clean) or repair a fine jewelry product that was ordered directly from yinkaorisan.com. If your purchase is from over 1 year ago, repairs may still be made but there will be a fee depending on the work needed and condition of the item.

Yinka Orisan does not repair brass items, due to their plated finish, we are unable to polish or repair any styles from this collection. If your brass piece has broken within 1 month of purchase- Yinka Orisan will either exchange your piece for a new one of the same style and color, or provide you with a store credit.

If your chain requires multiple repairs within the first year of purchase it is up to the customer service representative’s discretion to determine if a fee is required. After 1 year the chain may still be repaired at a fee determined by the customer service representative.
